Public Sector ProjectsAlmost all of these projects were developed for the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS) at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by Perrin Quarles Associates (PQA) and Radian Corporation. Asbestos Contractor Tracking System - The Asbestos Contractor Tracking System was developed in FoxPro for the EPA. It tracks the permits and reviews of asbestos removal contractors. Air Toxic Emission Factor - The Air Toxic Emission Factor database was developed in Clipper for the EPA. It provides access to the airborne toxic criteria chemicals and their emission factors from various industrial processes. Global Emission Inventory System - The Global Emission Inventory System was developed in dBASE for the EPA. It estimated and graphed the global emissions of six chemical groups based on known emission factors and industry production reports from the CIA. Industries were mapped with a latitude and longitude. Emissions were summarized, reported, and graphed at a 10x10 degree grid resolution. Global Resource Emission Model - The Global Resource Emission Model was developed in Clipper for the EPA. It provided a friendly, customizable interface to the Global Emission Inventory System. National Asbestos Registry System - The National Asbestos Registry System was developed in FoxPro for the EPA. It provides a subset of the Asbestos Contractor Tracking System for quickly evaluating a particular contractor. An HTML Online version is now available. PC-Continuous Emission Monitoring System - The Personal Computer - Continuous Emission Monitoring System was developed in FoxPro for the EPA. PC-CEMS was designed and developed in 1992 as a DOS-based system to track and evaluate Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) Excess Emission Report (EER) data received by air pollution control agencies. PC-CEMS stores information on each CEMS including the unit or emission point at which the CEMS is located, the applicable regulation and standard, and summary EER data for each reporting period. PC-CEMS also allows the user to download and upload reports to the Aerometric Information Retrieval System (AIRS). It provides analysis of the data over time, including analysis and graphic representation of the data and trends and is currently used by five EPA Regional Offices and a number of States as a mechanism for receiving and assessing EER data. VOC/PM - The Volatile Organic Compound / Particulate Matter database was developed in Clipper for the EPA. It provided quick, easy access to the chemical speciation for every SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) and Source Classification Code. XATEF - The Crosswalk / Air Toxic Emission Factor database was developed in Clipper for the EPA. It combined the Crosswalk and ATEF databases for a complete and thorough set of relationships between industries, processes, and toxic chemicals.
